What is a credit score?

Credit scores use the data from your credit report to deliver a 3 digit score that represents how much risk you present to a prospective lender. Banks use credit scores, in addition to other factors, to help determine whether or not you are credit worthy. Credit scores do not take into account your income, employment or assets.

Credit Sesame offers our members the Transunion Vantage 3.0 score for free every month. The Vantage 3.0 has a range of 300-850. Vantage scores are used by 8 out of the 10 largest lenders in the US.
